A good picture can speak a thousand words, but a good song could change the world! Words can be interpreted and perceived in such powerful ways; therefore words are the most influential form of communication. In this workshop, we will use songs to show teens the depth and power of words. This is a very motivational workshop and will teach kids the significance of effective communication. From Buffalo Springfield to Dave Matthews, we want to explain and interpret the deep meaning of songs, and the values that they play in American Society.

We will show teens how to make the right decisions during good times and right decisions during bad times. Business is not supposed to become a way to survive, but a way to thrive. Everyday before one hears a single compliment, they are shut down and plastered with 11 forms of negativity and put-downs. If this continues people will begin losing all of their drive to accomplish goals and stay motivated. Leaders Across America is ready to end this bad cycle and teach kids to, "Rise To The Challenge." There is not enough time in each day to focus on negativity, kids need to have the power and mindset to take on any obstacle and achieve greatness. This workshop will show kids how to brush off the put-downs, and erase the, "I can't attitude," from their brains. To become a great leader or an American success story, it all starts with one step, rising to the challenge.

It is all about whom you know, having contacts, and being affiliated with organizations that can only help open doors into the networking world. Having contacts will help you with job searching, fundraising, or even starting up a business. We want to teach teens the power of having references and the beneficial magnitude of being involved in clubs and organizations. Maintaining a contact is just as important as forming a new one. The impression you make on someone will last a lifetime, and we want to teach kids the value of business relationships. The real world is cruel and dangerous, but when getting started and opening a new chapter it never hurts to have a few networking contacts to help you along the way.

Initially the hardest part of starting a business, or climbing the job trail, is getting your foot in the door. We want to teach teens the values of having a smart business persona, and how to coast through the beginning stages of entrepreneurship. Knowing how to solve a problem and being at the right place at the right time can be the difference of a promotion and a pink slip. We want to bestow our business knowledge to teens, and convey to them the importance of being persistent, getting their foot in the door, and start walking in the right direction. Prioritization, time management, and budgeting everyday events, are three focal points in living a productive life style. In this workshop, we want to teach teens the significance of living an organized life. It is important to us to stress the magnitude of staying on top of things. How to prioritize important events and everyday situations is substantial in a leadership role. You can only watch so many episodes of MTV, before you start forgetting about everything that is important in life, like family, friends, and recreation.

Every painting starts out as a blank piece of canvas. Art means nothing until it has been developed. With oils, pastels, creative designs, and a name, art can form into one of the most complex forms of human symbolism, much like leadership. Leadership is an extremely complex word, and like art it does take watercolors, oil, and pastels to create something magical. Leadership requires the entire package. Through an artistic vision, this workshop will display the little things that form together to create this complex word, "Leadership."

Ethics Is Ethics

Everyday we are faced with critical decisions that must be made, it is up to us to decide whether or not each decision is right. Ethics is the study of moral standards and how they affect appropriate conduct. In business having good ethical principles are key. In this workshop we want to stress that having a successful company without moral principles is cruel and wrong. Living your life with good ethics is a success in and of itself. In troubling situations business owners are sometimes faced with the easy way out, this is not however always the ethical way out. We want to teach kids to live their lives by making positive ethical choices that will in turn affect their future. Sometimes unethical decisions may be hard to stray a way from, but in order to be successful one must have a deep understanding of ethical principle.

Goals are just like long-term investments; sometimes it can be extremely beneficial to open up the portfolio and balance one's assets and liabilities. An asset is defined as something that is useful and contributes to the success of something. Goals are assets, and having goals can be the best investment somebody can make. In this workshop, we want to explains to teens the power of goal setting and why setting goals is so important. Liabilities will always cause pain and stress on one's checkbook, but having lofty goals are positive ways of creating assets, and beginning a successful journey. Having goals and setting goals, is one of the best forms of financial advice that one can give to another.

Project Globe

As the population is booming, as the temperatures are rising, as fuel sources are dwindling, as hurricanes are becoming stronger, American's are beginning to realize the warning signs and the necessity for starting to protect the environment and our globe. As leaders of tomorrow, we want to begin opening our young ones' minds into the seriousness of their future. Lack of education is the biggest downfall in awareness of global affairs. Teens need to realize what the world is going to be like in 50 years if we keep living the same way that we do. We live on a much too beautiful planet to want to destroy it. It is time that we begin teaching kids about the environment and the impact it can have on their future.

Workshop Information

Leaders Across America offers 20 different workshop sessions. Team members travel to schools, churches, and businesses where they implement programs that teach a variety of life skills. Each workshop is taught at a facility provided by the customer. Prices for each workshop range from $250 to $500 depending on materials and shipping costs. This does not include airfare or travel expenses. By bringing the information directly to you, it is possible to receive the same great information given at out conferences without the headaches associated with travel. This is especially a good option for individual schools as this option is more feasible then having an entire class or club travel to one of our conventions.
